Bold identifiable masthead. The main image overlaps the title showing confidence and a well established magazine. Also the two figures appear closer to the reader than they would do if behind the masthead, it makes for a better connection and draws the reader in more. The colour of the masthead stands out against the dull background and contrasting main image, the eye is instantly drawn to 'Vogue' and the womans dress. The font used is very classic, this is used to mirror the magazines history as 'The' fashion magazine.

The main image is all about contrast and energy, two very different icons are thrown together and shown in a way that links them and identifies them as a united front. They show the 'Ideal Bodies' and plays on the insercurites of the reader to make them feel they need to appear like these people. Other than being aesthetically appealing, the male appears passionate, very alive, and skillful, while the female appears very positive and energetic, these are all qualities that adults aspire to have. The title for the main image appears between the two figures, as to not disturb the bold eye-catcher. The other big eye-drawer is the enlarged number '87' centre left, the eye is drawn and then the small caption continues the article title.

It has appeared that the re-occurring theme in this issue is healthly eating; dieting; and the 'perfect body'. As the magazine is prodominently aimed at female fashion fanatics, the topic is very appropriate for their interests.
The right side of the page shows three more smaller titles for articles in this issue, The boldest first title uses a popular diet saying and oposes it, this with make the reader want to know why they have this conclusion. The second title is styled as a tell-tale article, most likely a journalist has investigated 'quiting the gym', to the reader it will make it seem all the more genuine. The final title, in the right hand corner, asked the reader a direct question, involving them and without realising the reader already is fastening an anwser in their heads, this gives them the interest the article wants.
